The Afrolicious sound is eclectic, electric and funky. It relentlessly grabs ahold of the audience and pulls them onto the dance floor. Mixing up African, Latin and percussive rhythms with electronic breaks, club beats and heavy bass drops andAfrolicious show is a non-stop dancing frenzy. Whether touring as DJs, as a sound system with live percussion or as a full ten piece band Afrolicious has established a reputation from their home in San Francisco across the country. With their records on ESL Music and produced by Thievery Corporations’s Rob Garza their sound has become known among DJs, tastemakers and fans around the globe.

Will Magid’s trumpet will take you to Havana in the summertime. It will take you to a Ghanaian funeral and, simultaneously, a French dance club. It will take you to soul music in Japan, then to the cusp of the end of the world, where everyone’s dancing because they have nothing to lose.
The trumpet will holler vibrantly no matter what. And it’s a flexible instrument, well suited for this record’s victorious leaps among sounds from the past, sounds from here and sounds from elsewhere.
